1990 CBR Hurricane

Hello Group,

Love the forums because so many are so enthesastic about there ride or machine.
I bought a 1990 CBR and come to find out we have some issues already.
Loud tapping noise from the top of the engine. So I might be looking for a complete motor or head. Either way any suggestions. I live close to Columbus Ohio in a little town called Pataskala Ohio. Anything thoughts or help would be refreshing .

Hi Mark. Sorry you're having some issues w/ your bike. Hopefully, you can get them sorted quickly. Recommend posting in the 1990 section or General Tech for more views & helpful responses.

Hey post up a link to the Youtube of the bike for some "expert" opinions

I'm betting your Hurricane has the usual Cam Chain Tensioner issue most of
us have and that is the rattle you re hearing - U maybe not knowing this is
a very common issue
