Default 1987 600 hurricane

Hello , my buddy has a pair of 600 hurricanes he bought new in 1987, one white, one black. I have owned a bunch of old bikes before and found getting parts hard, would really like to buy his bikes but was wondering how hards parts are to find, such as cables and brakes. Thanks for any info

Consumables, pads, carb rebuild kits etc are pretty accessible and if you treat the cables well they will last forever, but OEM parts in general are a crapshoot. Random stuff is becoming unavailable all the time so if you break something important, you might be done. At least you have no EFI to worry about.

I had a 1987 years ago and loved it. If he’s selling the black one, I’d love to see about buying it.
