Missouri memorial weekend!
3 of us are leaving Omaha NE on Thursday the 21st of May. Our plan is to leave mid afternoon if we can get off of work early, ride to Springfield and get a room. We will have Friday-Sunday to ride and return on Monday. What roads or sights would you all recommend? We are planning doing 3 to 500 mile days, more if we are able. We dont really have a plan in place, just riding and staying the night where ever we stop. Also, if anyone know of any good micro breweries in southern MO, northern AR, please let me know!
Thanks for you help!

next year if you do this ride, I would ride to Springfield, run 65 south until you get to 160 east make a left on 160 east and ride I mean ride, one of the first stops would be on Lake Taneycomo at Forsythe its a nice over look good pic opportunity, then take off east bound and down again I probably wouldn't stop again until Theodosia at Bull shoals lake, then ride onto Gainesville and get gas there, then ride onto Tecumseh at the northern most part of Norfork Lake (all these places I'm telling you about are great picture places), then ride onto West Plains, go north out of West Plains and then make a right onto 160 off of 17, and then ride on...to Alton better get gas there, onward east I would press, to Riverton which sits rite on 11 point river cross the bridge and make a left in the park and boat ramp great little spot to rest then head back out to the road and make a left go until you get to 21/142/160 toward Doniphan, get gas here...and check our Current river, there is also hotels in this town. Then ride on east a little bit out of Doniphan and make a left on Hwy 21 go north another great road in Missouri, This first section all the way to Hwy 60 is not the best part its actually really tame, when you get to 60 make a left and head west until you get to Hwy34/21 north toward Clearwater Lake when 21 and 34 split stay on 21, Get gas in Ellington, then ride on North, HAVE FUN,,when you hit 49 make a left enjoy your ride on Veterans Memorial Hwy, get gas at Arcadia/Ironton, then ride on north, make a left on Hwy 21/53/RA Elephant Rocks state park is on your right its a nice little park to get off and stretch your legs. then go back to the road and make a right toward Potosi take Hwy 8 out of Potosi and then you will hit I44 which will run you back to Springfield.
It sounds like a lot and it is but if you can figure out my directions you will ride my two favorite roads in Missouri....
About 520 miles and 10hrs of riding.
