    Cheers
No, at the moment the bike is in pieces more or less, have to get it fixed before I get
my license So when I'm finished I will post some more pics

Is it not the original color then? I think it's a quite nice color combination and not so
common, haven't seen a lot of them. Bying new fairings would ceartainly be quite
expensive I think. You're welcome to Sweden I live in the Southern part and we have
a bit longer season here than in the north so when I finally get my license so..

...even got an incident with a badger this morning, went so near my exhaust propably fried some of it`s tail, gonna do a write-up later this weekend, really the only things I want right now is to lean back, scratch my dog and get another Garage from the fridge...

Oh, and the rattle. Definetely not CCT, it`s clearly coming from the drivetrain, more precisely the transmission. After all, the bike HAS 98tkm befind it, the tranny is just worn, propably partly from the bearins giving slack to the axles, partly just worn cogs, the oil change really did a number to it, it almost went away, it`s still audible, but you really have to listen to it and to know it`s there to hear it.

G`luck with the engine job, hope it goes like planned, just remember not to over-tighten any bolts, it`s super easy to cork the threads from a silumine engine block, trust me, I`ve done it a few times...

Had to cut the post in two, the machine said the post is too long (over 1000 marks...)

Yup, the motor runs smooths and true, a lot more power than before and way better sounds! Just came home via Heinola just to get to gun it in the motorway and to finally enjoy the sun and warmth, it was about 15-17c when I drove home so it really felt warm despite the fact that most of my gear was still a bit damp from the heavy rain I dove in to work...

That was my idea aswell, Tough there is one place near Kurikka, Guy has over 150 bikes there and he is selling to spare parts starting 5 euros. Umm I just recently studdled across 2 cbrs for spare parts, One has same colour as mine, could get some cover spares but it was near helsinki, a bit far for me.

Thats the place where i dont want to get it wrong :/

Any suggestions where to get new part?
    Only at honda rep?

I ve opened it up once when I changed the valves (got me fingers oili niccce )

I checked cilinders and the motor looks okay when opened. But I still dont want to take a risk of taking long trip and ending up walking or flying home :/

And cause I brought bike home a month ago, it standed long time in rep. But I am not sure when the tentioner is changed last. One one hand I should not be afraid but I m the one who just wants to be as sure as possible..

Cam chain tensioner from junkyard... sounds dodgy, pretty vital part, wouldn`t trust a used one, plus I don`t know of a single scrap yard from Finland that would have bikes... I`ve had my fair share of older cars so I have been going through every single one near Lahti/Helsinki area, a few snowmobiles, one bike here, another there, 0 CBRs.

My advice is: since you`re going to open it, do it properly and pay up for the new part, it will serve you well and long, I speak from experience that there`s not many viler feelings than undergo a major operation replacing failed parts with used ones only to have them fail again after a short while.

I have become a "mechanic from necessity" and have learned all these things the hard (expensive) way...
