wagging the old road dog
Time to do the move.
Company will put us and the little beastie in lodgings until we find housing.
My dilemna
How do I get the old road dog up there?
Option 1. Drone up the Interstate for 100 miles and be done wif' it?
Option 2. Go around the horn through Olympia and up 101. My backyard ride that I love.
To stop in so many good places and quench myself on the ride. Then catch a boat from Port Townsend to Whidbey and through Deception Pass to the Inn
Option 3a. Drone I-90 over the easy pass, then run up north and do the N. Cascades from the backside....or
Option 3b. Run down to the south of me, circumnavigate Mt. Rainier, then back-road it up to Winthrop and over N. Cascades.
Basically trying to turn 100 mi. trip into 200 mi. plus
Pics to follow?

Stuck between continental plates and some dormant volcanoes.
(in my best Johnny Cash voice)
I fell in, to a burnin' ring of fire
Was working down at the Port of Tacoma store. Every day at 8 am the Port Authority tests the lahar siren. Spooky sound if I ever heard one

#1 - PLEASE DO NOT INSULT OUR INTELLIGENCE.
#2 - It would seam that you are very familiar with the southern route already (I like new). You could explore the northern route area on day rides when you get settled in. Depending on how pressed you are for time. Leave at 7:30 AM and be in by noon (not real exciting ride), nice views however.
#3a - Pound a few highway miles and then enter the fun zone. I'm also thinking, maybe less traffic in the mountains than in the lower passes.
3b - My vote. Mt Rainier from any angle is impressive. I'd love to see pictures of that bike with the Mt. in the background. Circumnavigating the Mt., can't get any better.

Ok.
Finally got free and made it down to Tacoma to pick up the bike.
Unfortunately, the weather rolled in and made any possibility of scenic mountain vistas impossible to render,so I went with Option 2. The safe route anyway considering the fires over on the east side of the mountains. I'll get my crack at the N. Cascades soon
Getting my kicks on Route 101
