Mythbusters did an episode on a handful of these type things and they didn't work. I don't know if they tested this particular model or not. Also, it may be illegal to even have anything covering your license plate. That's the case in my state.

Same here.

You can be stopped if snow is covering some of the tag.

That must be a bonanza for the city in winter months. Or do they just make you brush it off?

Here, where there are many dirt/gravel roads it isn't uncommon to see a vehicle so muddy the license plate is invisible. Never heard of anyone being stopped for that though.

we have one of those reality police show's on the Teev here & a female copper got very excited when she spotted these ghost plates for the first time in her career.
the bloke she pulled up wasn't so excited as he was also driving whilst suspended from driving

Ditto. Although you can still -in theory- be ticketed if a local police recognizes you and the bike from the pic. It has happened, I know of one.

It is also -again in theory- illegal to drive with a blocked license plate in finland, be it snow, dirt or any kind of a plexiglass or other obstruction over the plate. Normally with a car or a bike you could get made to clean them up but sometimes when the cops raid trucks, and normally then for some reason they give you a ticket for just about anything, so yes I know of a few truckers that have gotten a slip for muddy/ snowy plates and/or tail lights.

If you put one of those tag blockers on here, you are an enemy of the state and should be sent to the firing squad. LOL

^ I like an intense woman. I'd ask here out but I think she'd make me get a cell phone so that she could keep dibs of me.
