Default And the rains came down

81 days without rain. A record going back to 1922.

Good things do come to an end

So strange, man. Everyone keeps talking about these droughts, but we're getting unseasonable rain. We had almost 10" in Sept.

I've never had to mow my yard every week since like April.

I was looking up the precip stats on Everett (just north.. I know a guy up there) and I was surprised to see that they don't get that much more rain than here.

hmmm not what comes to mind when people discuss climate up around
those parts - one tends to automatically think rain and lots of it but I
guess it must be mostly around the higher elevations Mt Rainer Olympic
National Forest & North Cascades etc.

All on my bucket list of trips to be taken at some point

Yeah, I was looking at a transfer. lol..

Seattle doesn't get rain like FL, LA, etc.

Hell, if you look at the stats... we average more than they do. DC gets consistent rains, and Seattle pops up in Nov, Dec, Jan but doesn't have nearly as much throughout the year.

To be honest, our climate here is quite temperate and other than the coast, which sees a lot of rain, the Sound doesn't get as much rain as other parts of the country.

What we do get here is constant overcast and a drizzle that seems to last forever. The colder it gets and the older I get the more it seems to creep into my bones and want to stay there. Plus, I don't know what is was I did in my past to anger the gods, but the downpours, when they occur, usually always occur when I need to ride.

The injustice of existence

We generally have two seasons here. Summer and Dismal. The Dismal season has arrived and will be here until early July

Drove down through Erie, summer of '06 From Buffalo to Columbus, OH in a driving rainstorm. Cuyahoga river was raging

I've been out of town for a month and got home Saturday. The weather here has been real nice until I came home. Its cold and raining now but will clear up by Thursday, the day I fly back out at 6 AM.

I'd go outside and throw a stone at the clouds but in reality all I'd do is hit my neighbor's house with it.
