Your moto registration costs $3 more, btw, and the cops can pull you over for a seat belt. That's a big deal. Your concealed carry permit is slightly harder to get, costs $15 more, and is only good for 4yrs vs. our 5yr ones.
So basically, it's like soviet russia up in maine.

Had I been behind the counter, when the guy asked for a receipt, I would have told him as soon as I counted the money. I would have come up short because he kept pushing the coins over the counter. If he didn't want to wait for me to take my sweet time counting the money and he left, I would have come up short and he would get an over due in the mail. Screw him for being a jerk to the clerk. The poor girl was just doing her job, no reason to take it out on her.

I agree TBT - rudeness gets you nowhere and makes YOU look like a d*ck.
And there will be a sequel. To pay the fine a transaction HAS to take place - he gives money and receives a receipt in return. It did not. The coins were not accepted, so he will get another friendly reminder in the mail (with a late payment fee attached) followed by a court summons if he fails to pay.
Sometimes being a smarta$$ does not pay. Other times it does!

Reasons why:
#1 Parking where you shouldn't.
#2 I'm a d*ck and can park where I want so I'll park where I shouldn't.
#3 If I hurry, I won't get caught parking where I shouldn't.
#4 I'm above the law and can park where I shouldn't.
#5 The meter reader isn't here so I will willfully park where I shouldn't.
#6 I am so illiterate that NO PARKING signs look like decorations and that's why I park where I shouldn't.

I know I've never heard of anyone in the states getting pulled over for too many passengers under 21. Do they just make this stuff up? Lol..
Or for a high-beam violation?
And the fines seem ridiculous, too. As if your taxes weren't bad enough. I couldn't believe the cost of vehicle registrations and licensing over there. I pay $18/yr to register my bike (plates and everything) and it's $10/yr for my license. Inspections are $20-30.
It's almost like they don't want anyone to own a car/bike over there.
I think I'd be flipping out all the time and throwing nickels at everybody. Lol..

The passenger restrictions came in because car loads of young people were wiping themselves out in car crashes with anywhere from 3 to 5 people dying in one hit. It got to a stage where something had to be done. Our licencing and rego costs are a joke I agree. You have a far bigger population than we do and I suppose the good old govt here try and get as much revenue as they can with the paying customers they have. You have what 400 million people ? We have 23 million. People park wherever the hell they like the world over and are surprised when they get a ticket.

Man its gonna cost me around $100 to renew my bike 
, Concealed carry? I was a firearms instructor for the marines (rifle, pistol, foreign, HRCC you name it), I transported serialized gear daily on public roads and CA nearly laughed my CCW permit out of the office. But no inspections, smog, or anything and we can 'legally' split-lanes. 
I'm confused... I want my guns back.
