I guess anyone under about 50 won't really get it.

But I think I actually need two of them, that way if Steve comes to visit my house we can have a total feckin blast.

Looks cool, but doesn't look to be street legal, though. I'd probably prefer a 73 bone stock Z-1 (the original), maybe with a beefed up frame and upgraded suspension. They weren't known as good handling bikes, even back then.

Yep, it's probably not actually street legal, but to be fair, nearly street legal is close enough for me.

I'm in two minds about this bike; maybe I go down to my local speedway circuit and have a real Kenny Roberts style blast, or if it's street legal, it's maybe just like one of those old Triumphs with the high pipes?

I like it because it's different. It looks to be street legal. There's a head lamp under the front number plate, can't see if there's a tail light, flashers not needed with hand signals.

Depends on the state. Some require them, some don't. NY requires them on bikes manufactured after 1985- so this bike doesn't need them. However most, if not all, states require mirrors. http://www.bikernation.net/motorcyclelaws.htm

^ Yep, it's a 1975 and the mirrors may have been removed for the show, I'd remove them. You only need one in NY. Most choppers have one under the bars where you can't see jack out of them.

When I took my road test years ago I HAD to use hand signals even thou I had flasher on the bike. Now you don't use hand signals during the test.

I also recall not passing inspection due to lack of front fender on a bike. That's also missing on the Kawi.
