Default not a cbr but maybe you all can help

well got rid of the mustang today and got a vtr1000f. Bike runs good other than I need a voltage regulator for it and with not having any money right now I cant ride it. I really need to find some more work to do.

SO i got a vtr1000f yesterday and the bike ran fine all the way to the town i live in. Once i got into town i lost all power. It popped the main fuse. Well i get it to my buddies house and we go thru all the tests. The stator tested ok and we checked a couple other things. Now when i unplug the voltage regulator and then put a new fuse in and plug in the connector that sits in the top of the starter solenoid the fuse does not pop but once i plug in the rectifier it pops. We unbolted the rectifier and also removed the ground on the side of the rectifier and then with the ground for the rectifier removed it does not pop the fuse. Would tell me that my vltage regulator is shorting out? Thanks for answers in advance

Sounds like it.
Get a price from www.electrex.uk
They make good aftermarket stuff - better than OEM !

Flebay may have a cheap alternative for the short term, don't know how well those cheap ones will last though.
