Welcome Andy, If You have never put any time in on a CBR Your in for a treat M8, Check Your logbook, for the M the engine vin numbers run from SCO9E-2200803 to 2205358, and frame vin from SC24-2200765 to 2205070. there`s nothing listed for the N model, but the P eng vin runs SCO9E-2400017 to 2403062, and frame SC24-2400033 to 2402908. hope thats helpful, enjoy the experience

Hey everyone new to the forum. I'm steven and I own a 1990 cbr1000f. Bought the bike in pieces off craigslist for 500 and have never regreted it! Apparently my bike is california emmision and thanks to this forum I found if you remove the aluminum inserts on each carb you gain a easy 30 hp! Thanks everyone!!

Hi folks, i'm gary, got a '94 1000f last august after a 28 year lay off, what a waste of 28 years!!More good news, turns out wife loves the bike and we hope to hit france in september so trying to kit her out for touring.Got nonfango side cases and some fittings,anyone know can i buy nonfango topbox rack for say a blackbird and make brackets to fit my bike? Thanx

One of our Admin called Shadow (Pete) uses nonfango panniers and top box so if you pm him I'm sure he can help you with fitment ideas.

Sprock made up a great, sturdy backbox rack - it would take a Nonfango box for sure, and finding a plate to match the Nonfango box is easy........If all else fails I have a spare, and some racks which would fit with a bit of modding.
