Got it home this evening. Loving it. Had a great time riding it home. Feels just slightly different to my cx500s and 650s.
I will post some pics tmoz after i have had some time to pull some bits off and have a nosey around. Replace all fluids etc etc. Which leads me to the question of which oil???
Cheers

Don't even start the guys on that Damo; use the search function and just keep it all to yourself; otherwise we end up with another 10 page thread about oil where everyone eventually ends up agreeing that Dello is good, but they will try and totally confuse you on the way.
You have been warned.

I'd say...................heavier and a helluva lot more power. Wait until you get it up at 6000RPM.....
What Kiwi says is true - the subjectof oil's been done to death !!
Some of us use diesel oil (incl me) 10w40 Rotella, others use any oil that doesn't have"slippery stuff" in it which isn't good for clutches. Car oil isn't good for bikes - the gearbox smashes the molecules in short order......
But read the threads and look forward to being confused

Just had a quick look at some of the paperwork that i got with the bike and it has had a cam chain and tensioner replaced around 1000ks ago. Nice to know. Cant wait to give it a wash and polish and take some pics.
Enough said about the oil. I will go have a search around. I think oil, plugs and fuel types must be a no no for all bike forums.

Interesting call Sprock.
In a former life I worked for Mobil for many years around the time of the introduction of the fully synthetic oils.
One of our big commercial clients was the Mount Cook Line that run tour buses all over the South Island. Good clean open road, full temperature running.
A couple of their buses were put onto Delvac 1 on a trial basis. The oil was sampled and analyzed (did I just say **** ised?) at 10 000k intervals.
Both managed to clock up over 100 000 km (!!!) before the oil started to degrade to a point where it should be changed.
