I received a wee notice in the mail yesterday. Apparently, when I drove through Geraldine on the 12th Dec I was traveling at 54 km/h when I drove past a speed camera. $30 fine, and no demerit points. Really, what is the point of that? did it make me a safer driver for the rest of that day? Clearly not, because I didn't even know I'd been sprung until yesterday.

 

Ah, the fear of the "tin men"... Aggravates the heck out of me when most of the drivers slow down in an 80 zone to about 65-70km/h in front of a camera just to be sure... Fun trying to keep up in the traffic with a lorry and cargo with a combined weight of near 18 metric tonnes...
