Any locals? Anyone know the town? I'll have a day there and wonder what's the "must see" and best ale in town.

Never been to Leeds, but if you can get hold of a pint of Sam Smiths beer it's the proverbial 'dog's b0llocks!' ( NOT to be confused with John Smiths, comercial chit)

Default leeds places of interest

you could have a look at the Royal Armouries in Leeds.
It is probably the best collection of aincient armour and weapons in the world.
A lot of what was in the Tower of London was moved up there to do it justice.
www.royalarmouries.org/leeds

And it's FREE !!!

A Beer you should try if you can get it as it isn't local to the area is ABBOT ALE in my humble opinion it is the finest beer known to man.

The Royalarmouries looks good. I had put that on my list by an internet search. Not sure what my ground transportation is going to be but it would be fun to go have a look at The Milk Bar. Made note of Abbots Ale and Sam Smith. I should be there March 15 for the day and London on the 16th.
Went to our local Bockfest last night so my appitite is big for more new fresh brews.
Many Thanks my UK friends.

Looks to be great fun at Nellies, Sprock! ...but I've been told that Shannon may just turn into a tech stop and bust our St Paddy fun. Crossing fingers and looking for 4 leafs in my Guinness.

Better get the facts right first Jimbo , if you go saying 4 leafed shamrock over there
they'll lynch you from the nearest yardarm....there's only 3 leaves on shamrock Buddy

But yeah Nellies it is if you Guys have the chance

Stay out of Limerick ...... if you want to leave alive .... it's a hell hole. imo

Sorry for being an ugly-American with the idea that a four leaf clover is the same (or better) as a Shamrock. Mother Donohue hangs head in shame. You can hold Irish school around the camp fire this spring. Instead of an apple for the teach we'll bring a spud.

Well Hawk, I didn't make it into Leeds. We tried all day but the fog just would not burn off. It stayed 1/16 mile vis all dam day. We did divert to Manchester and I got to have the English Pub experience. Drank the JOHN SMITHS gold, despite what you said, I liked it fine. The home footbul team was playing France so we watched the TV with the locals. Good fun.

London tomorrow. Hoping to make it to Ace Cafe.
