I decided to snap a few pictures while I was riding around yesterday near my house. A nice, peaceful day to cruise in the mountains and I found a few new back roads (although there's still a lot of gravel from winter).
This is just outside Gettysburg, PA.

I like that I can sit on this rock and not hear or see anyone for long periods of time.

Visited Carlisle a few years ago. Very beautiful country.

Stayed over in Enola, right on the Susquehanna. You could see the lights of Harrisburg downriver in the distance

 

I've been to both places many times! I'm about 40miles south of Carlisle.
I'm about 80 miles north of Washington DC, too. I prefer the country, though.
