Default Just because it's possible to do something

Doesn't automatically mean that it's a good idea to do so.

Honda CR500 on NOS 2000 | Trade Me

I guess all that's missing is the kit to make it road legal.

Then it would be just a grand thing to pop down to the local shop on when you need a loaf of bread.

One of the nastiest bikes I have ever ridden is my buddies stock 02 kx500. I cannot imagine it on NOS. Its either spinning or flipping.

The 500 H1 was bad enough (I rode one) the 750 H2 was just insane......
the frame flexed when you gave it beans and it was like trying to corner a banana

I'd love to find one of those engines and put it in a decent rigid frame like a 600RR- be hard to catch for sure, even by today's standards.

To be fair, I didn't find either H1 or H2 that scary. I owned an H1 in my last year of high school (17 or so I guess) and later on an H2 in my early 20's.

Brought up on a diet of 2 stroke moto-crossers, so I guess I just kind of knew what to expect when a 2 stroker got on the gas and tried to rotate round the rear sprocket. Big fun, but we all have a brave switch in our brain, maybe mine just has a lower trip level than other peoples.

(Maybe that's why one of my mates reckons I'm the only person he's ever met that has owned an H1, an H2, and a Z1, and is still alive)

Would own any one again in a heartbeat, if they hadn't gone all collectable and too expensive.

But I would also never put one on NOS.

(Probably) mmmmm .................. got me thinking now.

I can vouch for the fact that I have never known TK to have purchased a front tyre in his entire life.

Actually; I think you're right JK, I can't recall ever having bought a front tyre.

I didn't know that they needed to be replaced. Man those rear tyres don't last long thou' do they?
