A lady crashed her car on the street in front of my house this week...seems there was some dirt on her passenger seat from a plant she transported the day before. She was casually driving through the school/playground zone and picked that time to brush it off. While brushing the dirt off, she spilled her purse. In her panic to retrieve her purse she leaned over and pulled on the steering wheel and drove square into the back of a parked car. She was moving fast enough that the front of her car was embedded in the parked car up to its rear wheels and pushed it one and a quarter car lengths ahead. Her airbags went off and she had no apparent injuries.

The 1 beer/hr is a no-go for me too, that's why I walk now. Speaking of walking, two years ago I walked home from a local pub. When I woke up my back was hurting, so I went to a chiropractor. He had me lay down and then he asked me how I broke three ribs. I had no idea. After returning home I did remember flying off a car windshield the night before. I bet that would have really hurt if I were not so relaxed that night.

I had a brand new shiny sports car in 1985. I was just leaving the house on the way to work and I notice two small white pieces of lint on top of the dash on the passenger side. I leaned over to dust them off and pulled the wheel just enough to blow two low profile $250 tires.

What a maroon.

Yep, it can happen pretty quick.
My aunt was reaching in the back seat for her purse when she flipped her Impreza. Barely went off the road, but there was a ditch and she caught on the end of a drainage pipe running under some guy's driveway. You should have seen that poor subaru!! She walked away with no injuries, too.

A buddy of mine ramped a '98 Celica GT up a telephone pole guide wire and flipped it. He was ok, too.

This other guy hit the end of the railing on a bridge beside my dad's house and flipped his Dakota into the river. My dad pulled him out of the truck through the back window and all he got was a cut on his forehead. Blood everywhere, tho.

Another buddy of mine was dicking around with his CD player and hit an old escort head on. He had a Corsica, and it flipped over the escort and landed on it's top. The airbag knocked him out, and he didn't wake up until the paramedics were pulling him out of the car. He doesn't remember any of it. Thank god nobody in the other car was hurt, either.
He also flipped a Plymouth Acclaim while trying to follow me to my house in my Si. He's an idiot.

Anyway..... I was cleaning up the last of the debris in the yard tonight and I found a half can of PJ1 Chain Lube! LOL..
Sure as hell isn't mine.
The can looks pretty old. Looks just like this:

A lady I know ditched her VW Beetle due to a bee inside with her. She was fine. I reached for the sun visor in my ute once and glanced up as it was half way down. There was a f'n great Huntsman spider having a spell on there. I slowly let it go back up and the only casualty was in my strides. There was an insurance add here where a chick crashed for exactly that reason.

Dylan. At least you scored some chain lube. Any news on the mailbox / case of beer yet??

No, Sprock.... this is my mailbox:

And this is yours:

My wife wants to get one of those boxes that you can get the mail out of from the back. Like one of those big rubbermaid looking ones.
I don't know... I like having to stand in the road to get the mail out of the front. It's like an adventure!!

But no... no word yet on the mailbox or the beer.
Currently my old mailbox is laying in the yard in pieces. I think I'm gonna piece it back together temporarily.....ghetto style.
It's in like 4 pieces, but the actual box doesn't look too bad.

I watched a guy on the other side of I-10 near San Antonio veer off and hit the end of an overpass railing in a 70's giganto-mobile. Of course the front stopped dead, making the rear flip up over it and the whole thing ended up in the ravine. We stopped to see about it, and he was fine. He was moving and had every possession he had (98% laundry) in the car with him and ended up laying on the floor of the back seat encased in piles of clothing. He said he got up early and fell asleep at the wheel. It was pretty dramatic actually seeing a car that big flip so high and fall so far.
