Hey Hawk .... I totally agree with you mate ... but yu gotta admit , that to just keep any bike on the dam road around bends at those speeds takes some skill ... ok no brains , but quite allot of skill
Duuno how fast you have ever tried to corner at Steve , but at anywhere near those speeds in tight confines on a windy road would be terrifying for near ALL riders ... yer yer ...no brains does help..LOL , but chit , yu would have to have an extra serve of guts to even try it !!!
Aside from the fact that he was on a public road ....how about that Armco railing being so close on all the corners !!!! WOW ...that would hurt !!
Minced motorcycle and rider ...LOL
BTW - along time ago I went and got advice from a surgeon to have the "stupid" removed from my head ...but he told me that if he removed all the stupid , I would prolly have only enough brains left to tie my shoe laces ... LOL ... so I decided to just live with my affliction ...

Well all in perspective men.........it's just plain crazy on a public road.
IOM (Isle of Man TT) was about as close as one could get to replicating this stuff.
Only they were much better............and yer maun Joey Dunlop the king
was my hero at it.......saw him in person back in the day and that's what made it
for me.
Street BS forget it........selfish and stoopid ........might as well pull out a loaded
firearm and shoot the unsuspecting motorist unlucky enough to be in your way.
On a designated track........you sign up..........you go for it ...........
& That is in my opinion hows it works !

No doubting the skill involved..not to mention nuts way bigger than I'm carrying . Never had a bike that went that fast anyway. 155mph up the M4 in the wee hours was quite fast enough for me, and that was in a straight line! Used to do some crazy **** that makes me cringe when I think about it now. I think having a family really changes your perspective for the better. Not only does it cross your mind that they need you to stay alive, but you realise those could be others' loved ones whose lives you're risking.
I'd be surprised if that guy is around long enough to have kids..
I still love going fast, just not when other people are around blind corners like our mad friend there.
