Mate I'm with you, ridden in cold weather 50f+ but as we don't see that sort of weather i ride all year round rain or sunshine (never seen that snow stuff).

well what can you do. If i live by the same rules, that wont ride under 15C then i get only like month of riding in a year
But with good gear on, actually it's not so bad. And of course soft tires - i have never tried hard compound tires and in here i probably wont either

But about this -26C story - there where no snow and Santa had to come somehow, why not with bike then i actually had no fog problem then coz, i haven't got any glass on the helmet

But for fog the best thing so far is washing the visior with Fairi or whatever dish washing liquid and using pinlock system - nothing beats this.

Upper thirties F is the coldest I'll ride anymore. It isn't the cold, it's the ice that stops me. If there is a chance of finding ice, snow or slush the bike stays parked.

242 miles at less than 40F. Had to get the bike back home from Minneapolis, MN.
I was frozen stiff upon getting home, but it was well worth it.

Nowadays, i try to resist going on the road at anything under 50F.

My coldest here is -8C. Rode to work all winter to save fuel costs (thirsty V6 ute was other option). I used to ride in England however cold it was. When I first started it was my only transport...girls to chase, pubs to visit! When I was older I think I'd just got used to it. Sometimes there'd be ice on the seats when we came to go home from the pub and rock salt all over the roads to stop the dreaded black ice. Man, that stuff eats away at your bike.

Now that I'm older and wiser (and softer!) I give it a miss under about 0C. I hate riding with all that winter gear on. You just can't move properly, so it can't be as safe.

Gee's man the temp here just plummeted down from 31c to 24c, i've been thinking i might have to put a singlet on under my t-shirt and change from motocross gloves to road gloves. Man i hate autumn and winter will be worse gets down to low teens some times! bbbbrrrrrrr might have to invest in heated grips!
