Default Change of bike!!!

Thought that might get you interested

Anyway, just a bit of a pipedream (at the moment) but any suggestions on a project bike for me? (and before you all say "another CBR" I havent got a lot of room or money to blow)
It has to be cheap as chips, both to buy and run but still have some ***** (if you know what I mean) 2 stroke or 4, I'm easy
My Z900 is going to a new home and I will have a bare patch in the garage to fill.
Something from the '80s (thats my era)

Do you know what "style" you're looking for? Like standard, sport, dirt?

I think an old Honda XR600R would be cool. Doing up an old VFR would be cool as hell, too (although possibly difficult and colstly).
You could get a standard bike for cheap, though, like a CB or Nighthawk or something.

I don't know.... what do you like?

The bare patch in my garage is now filled by a Z1300
A helluva lot easier to remove carbs (3 twin barrel) than on the 1000F.)
She's a helluva heavy girl though.(reminds me of some of the women I've known )

Yer , that would be kool ...an old 600XR Honda would make a great street scrambler worth pennies , go like chit and gee ....a bit of off road for some fun too....
That's exactly what I was thinking.
Easy to keep running, too.... and like you said... cheap.
Just keep a spare plug in your pocket and you're good to go!

You could get one of those light kits and convert it to run street (easy to do), or if you could find the actual XL600R (dual purpose), you'd be good to go! I'm not sure how many of those are around you, though... you don't see too many here.

Check out this Honda History site, sawnee, and take a walk down memory lane (and maybe get some ideas about what you're looking for)

I suppose you could stray from Honda, too...

Certainly a big girl, Steve-o.
6 into 1 pipe
Busy with getting her to run properly ATM.
Then it's repaint (esp the wheels)
Great fun to ride though - around town - no long trips or high speed stuff - hell she's 29 years young. She's "tall" too - good news or the wife'd pinch her just to prove she could (did it with my 1100E Suz too, and wheelied it )- I nearly chat myself ! All she did was laugh.

Here's a pic of FATSO and one of my favourite beverage..................YUM !

I must admit I'm a little partial towards the old CB 1100f. The 1100R was more of a goer but rigid mount & vibrated like crazy. When my old 1100f was still running she was very nice to ride. A little difficult to come by now but the candy red ones still dear to my heart.
