Well, I've made it to 44. I'm buggered if I know how fellas, the way I used to carry on.

The missus got me a new scope for one of my rifles and a strap for the other one so i chucked a 'sicky' and stayed home today. I rang work and left a message then an hour or so later they rang me up and sang happy birthday to me. I told the girl who rang that, if pushed, I'd claim to have the runs and asked her if she'dlike me to elaborate. She declined but I managed to say it was like chucking a handfull of Mentos in a bottle of diet Coke before she hung up on me. F##k working on your Birthday. Fitted the strap and sighted in the new scope at 100 yards, just about to crack my second Coopers.

I've gotta say, I'm happier now at 44 than ever really. Kinda settled in the head. I used to get quite cranky very quickly but now I just think WTF? and smile.

Later guys. Have a couple of beers with me eh??

Thanks lads. I didn't get too carried away last night because it's my mate,s birthday today (same age and a day younger). We're off to his place in 'the big smoke' this arvo for a big session and more **** hanging than is natural. Normally laugh so much my face hurts...next morning everything hurts.
