Just got back from one of the best rides ever. I did it on my Blackbird but am going back next year on the cane to do it again. The Great Ocean Road is a must for any Aussie and any visitors who come here for a bike trip. Blackbird did it on its ear and I'm sure the cane will eat it up as well. Sorry if this is in the wrong place. I couldn't see anywhere else to put it. Cheers

Yep ..that road is a ripper, well worth the effort to take a run down it ...
... even better now that they have re done a few sections too ...
Bloody nice area for the scenery while riding when the weather is good.
Gee , you should have taken a few short vids mate ..?
Were you ridding through the heat mate ?
nice pics !

In this pic it's the road running around the ocean on the edge of the coast ... On its way around the coast it weaves in and out of some real nice forest patches too ..

Thanks Guys. Your right Steve no worries at all mate. Return trip for me was just over 1000km. We started at Torquay and finished it at Warrnambool. Like Steve said there are some very nicy twisties in the forests around Cape Otway, Lavers Hill and between Lavers Hill and Colac which we did while we were there. Its a little boring between Port Campbell and Warrnambool but it wasnt that long. It got really hot when we headed home home. 43 degrees had the bird running around 95 to 100 degs all day. She handled it but. I just took it easy and got home eventually. Cant wait to do it on the cane next year again. Maybe you can come along Steve !!!! Cheers.
