You 'n' me both

Even though mine was a 'looker' compared to yours, I was looking through the receipts for what I've spent on mine and it's well over the original purchase price.

Every part I've bought, has been a 'total bargain', but it still all adds up.

As always, the wise man buys a 'minter', be it a bike or a car. The smart guy will be the guy buying your/my bike when it's finished.

Still it gives us a sense of pride, when we step back and admire our handy-work

Dayum !
I'm all green - envy's a terrible thing...........

If he doesn't love that bike, send us his address and we'll "talk" to him

And yes, Steve, I just fitted new brake pads all around. I daren't show the "Govt" what the bike has cost over the past 7 years.......EEEEK.

The place to buy a 1000F is from one of our members - if you want a really good one.

I think it's that we love these bikes so much we hate to see them in a sad state and want them to be loved.............
If I had the money I'd probably have half a dozen, and fix them all up to "our" standard.
Honda's biggest mistake was not carrying on with production and enhancements like injection and ABS etc etc.
If they still made them new, I'd be a customer for sure.................

I've just been offered a 1000F engine that runs on methanol and puts out 321 BHP !
I think I'm in lust !

I have to look at it as my hobby. Guys spend a lot of money on golf, I spend money on my bike. I'm pretty sure I will never be without a project.

Good luck getting the rear wheel to grab. That thing has to be insane.

So hang on Sprock, exactly how many CBRs' are sitting in your garage at the moment?

Is it 3 or 4? and don't try and fob us off with the whole "one belongs to a neighbor" storyline; we've all been guilty of that at some stage in our lives.

Are you familiar with the TV show "Hoarders"?

Hey, there are plenty of people out there that collect empty pet food cans. To be fair I don't think the particular strain of the disease that he's caught is all bad.

I know a guy in Dunedin that has kept every edition of the Otago Daily Times from Jan 1 1980.

Man's gotta have a hobby.

True, but most of us in this "Club" collect spares "just in case" off e-Bay, not complete bikes.

I spose it's a bit like stamps, once you start it's hard to stop.
Big difference is a stamp album goes in a cupboard

My car already sleeps outside
