Life is what you make it Jarvid, and I'll think you will find Woof in affirmation of that. I'm actually getting busier and busier and loving it. I'm travelling more, soaking up the sights, cigar smoke and booze and not giving a tinkers' cuss about anything. Life is way too short as it is not to enjoy every moment we have.

I tend to savor the birthdays more than celebrate them these days.

More of a putterer than a duffer or traveler. All the happiness, I find, is in my own backyard. Temps hit 30c yesterday. After my morning chores, I took refuge under the shade of a maple tree and listened to the baseball game on the radio sipping white wine spritzers and watching the neighbor cat attempt to hunt birds. When it cooled down it was time for steaks on the grill

Pure Sunday bliss

Yup, bliss indeed Woof.

After dinner and a wine last night (after dark) Mrs SB and I raked all the leaves out of the yard from the huge plane trees that line our street. This morning when the street cleaner sucked them all up leaving a clean yard and street, it felt good.

Doings around the house/garden are also a pleasure, no doubt at all. Makes me as happy as a dog in a pile of leaves.....

Cheers, SB

So Seb? You and Mrs. SB do outdoor chores in the mixed doubles classification? Around here it's men's singles.

Until Mrs. Woof calls a line fault

Yes we do. She has her place in the Valley and I have mine 30km away in the Hills. Both old stone homes, hers 1915 or so and mine 1850s, so we help each other with the restorations/maintenance needed at both houses.

Works very well indeed and makes it a pleasure instead of a chore.

Good deal. Wish Mrs. Woof would partake. She does the interior, something I know nothing about.

Here's a pic of my Gnome's kitchen

Nice: Can't beat a Weber Woof! And I love the old Coleman.

Some of the best meals I have ever eaten have emerged from a Weber.

The Weber is where the magic happens.

But as you can see, I'm going for "rustic simplicity".

Early Sat morning coffee off the Coleman ain't bad either
