He has been dangling his tackle in the water for a while now, it's bound to be a bit shrivelled and wrinkly

You've got to give it to old Dave, tho. He has proven to be the master of baiting.

Nice! Hence my eyesight not being as good as it once was. I can be quite the cunning linguist too, if I put my mind to it...

However, I didn't get the fish I was really after...would've passed through for sure.

Anyway, lunch is over and off to carry on welding (not daring to be too specific as to the kind, for fear of a rebuke) some broken spoon drain covers..see you lads in a few hours.

In his prime, before the government stopped him from fighting, he was the greatest boxer that had come before, and the greatest boxer since. There may never be anyone to take his crown. That would require athleticism, skill. style, looks in the ring, and a great knack for self promotion.
After he was past his prime he still out smarted his challengers for years letting them wear themselves out hitting and chasing him till they nearly fell over in the ring. Then he'd move in and finish them off.
Sad to watch him nowdays, but he still handles his situation like a Champ...

I listened to him whip Sonny Liston on the radio in real time...

It sure is Steve!

TK; "old bait" is a bit harsh isn't it? Middle aged maybe..

It's a fishing competition, but their bait's a bit old and shriveled now. Just like Mohammed

Steve; It's hard to tell who's following whom around here! I have a laugh very often though, so don't give a toss.

Pete; Strictly speaking, it's still Winter here so a bit of shrivelling would be quite normal wouldn't it?...Wouldn't it????
