^ Just watched that too, the guy has some pretty cool builds on video in youtube like a velodrome made of loading pallets.
One of my "dreams" has always been to build a turbojet engine, now that I have a welding rig I`d just need some metal and a big turbocharger. And something to use it on...
But that kind of a "megafone" wouldn`t be that hard to build yourself, specially if you have a spare muffler can lying around you can carve empty.

The Good Lady Wife and I were out for a drive in the nearby countryside yesterday.
Happened across one of these old girls.

Tacit approval for purchase has been given from "Head of Purchasing"; I think I may have found my Xmas present .
Although "Head of Purchasing" is making quite valid mutterings about needing a house with a bigger garage; she's probably right.
But what a wonderful turnaround: she is now starting to think of garage space.

That`s a pulsejet engine, I meant a turbofan jet made from a car (or preferrably heavy machinery) turbocharger.
It`s also possible to make a valveless pulse jet engine from a U-shaped tube, they are super duper loud and not very efficient, create a bit of heat too but has precisely zero moving parts.

So, Teeks.
Are you getting the Austin?
Showed the pic to Mrs. Woof. She fell in love with the thing.
Fingers crossed for ya'
Just a sidebar. Here's why I love living near the Sound. This is minutes from my house

I love the fact that it has such a low production number. I assume a Rolls Royce engine will prove to be pretty reliable in the long run. And an all day cruising speed of 90 mph? Yep, lets just sign me up for that.
Downside is; it does need some work. And I simply don't have the room to park up an old car and give it the love it needs.
But at the end of the day; I now know where this old girl lives, it is not actively on the market. Maybe I can call back there in 12 months and still find it hanging around.
Of course, I have now had to join the Austin Princess Owners Club.
That will allow me to check if the engine and chassis numbers line up to confirm if it is a genuine RR powered car.
I had nothing better to do: I wasn't busy at work (NOT).
Good things take time.
