^^^^ I knew the script of Holy Grail off by heart when I was at Uni Hamlin.......- a few decades ago

But back on topic.........................

Aussie, Aussie, Aussie, Oi, Oi, Oi

Mitchell Starc snared four wickets as Australia bowled Scotland out for 130 in the 26th over of their World Cup Pool A match at Bellerive Oval on Saturday.

Scotland, Scotland?????? You guys managed to beat Scotland?

Long recognized as one of the worlds great cricketing nations.

Well done those Aussies; with form like that you might feel confident of giving Iceland a bit of a run for their money.

To be fair, "sporran before wicket" is not actually a cricket term I've ever heard before. But I see how it works.

Rather than taking a nasty direct hit on the box, you use the sporran filled with porridge ingredients to try and soften the blow.

PS : watching an Eagles DVD, Joe Walsh is still the bomb.

Hey Seb, my internet connection seems to be broken, can't seem to find the final first round results for Pool A.

Would you be good enough to confirm the final first round standings?

Thanks

Checked out post 21 Seb; but it didn't seem to confirm the final Round 1 standings; rather, it seemed to be some sort of ad for ancestry.com.au.

However, I have done some further research and it would seem that NZ topped the pool on twelve points, and Aussie Aussie Aussie Oi Oi Oi (who famously beat Scotland) seem to be in second place on nine points.

I guess they might have to apply the Duckworth Lewis calculation to that, maybe you guys might end up on eight points.

As always; enjoying the banter: let round 2 begin, best of luck to both our sides. (Wouldn't an ANZAC final be pretty neat in this year???)
