Complete mit hairdryer, that would be fun.

Wonder what it feels like when that hairdryer finally spools up?

It's probably all academic to be fair, be it CBX with hairdyer or CBR with appropriate mods, they're probably all just a whole heap braver than I would ever be.

Admire the spirit and dedication for that ultimate "piston melting" pursuit of speed but I just don't feel the need. Happy to admit that I would rather retire with my body in one piece.

But I'm sure, a very challenging and technical exercise for those that get bitten by that particular bug. Good on them.

I wonder when/if anyone's going to take a Millyard Viper up to speed on the famous flats. I'd like to see that, and hear it.
Nice to see a CBR in the hall of fame. Any idea how it did?
One of these days I'll make it there, to watch, not partake. I to am far too mortal to squirt gas up my ass on that particular stretch of highway.

This is the South Aussie Speed Week Henry, held on Lake Gairdner in the outback. I've been a couple of times, but it gets rained out most years.

I didn't go this year so I'm not sure how it went, I'll try to find some times/speeds for it.

If you want to make the trek downunder I'll look after you! :D

Cheers, SB

What's kinda neat is the beat up '90 CBR1k parts bike I have rotting in the back yard could be made into that quite easily... I have a mostly complete engine in a straight frame and forks. Really I think I'm just missing seat and plastics (and a title!). I should make a racer this summer!

I just went back and looked at those pictures again.
Isn't it weird to see a bike with no front brakes. I can totally understand why you'd dispense with them on that kind of surface but it does make them look pretty alien don't you think?
