I don't run Shell anything in my bikes. Shell fuel here is crap to and I wont run it either. I read an article here once in a reputable bike magazine when after using a Shell engine oil in his bike this guy found filings all through the oil.

Its Castrol GPS Power 1 for me in my bikes. Yes its expensive but I don't care. $60 dollars every 5000 km is a good insurance policy imo. I still have heaps from an auction I went to where I got it for 8 dollars a litre instead of 20 so its all good.

 

Good for you Geoff , guess they must shell all their **** stuff outside the US ......
cuz it sure as hell works fone and dandy here.

Castrol's good stuff too .......... but not every single oil product tho' ! their cheaper
stuff is .....well just okay imo

 

I'm no expert but, I used Castor in everything years ago.

The big question is, is it motorcycle friendly? If it's not motorcycle oil, don't use it in one.

I'm not a Shell consumer diehard but the Rotella is motorcycle compatible.
