The Hardley Ableson (thanks Sir T) chick that brought her fat boy in for me
to see a few days ago ............well it seems she forgave me for the chit I
gave her about the bike and maybe 'cause I sprang for a hearty lunch for
her very ample figure .............she gave me this yesterday ......!!!!!
It's a Schenleys Canadien Whiskey Bottled in 1969 but aged 8 years prior
to that i.e. 1961 (before my Mom and Pop even considered me).
Anyone know , especially you Canadian fellers what the deal is with this
Juice ???? I plan on giving it a lash this week-end.
Am I drinking down a million dollar bottle of hooch or what ?

I wouldn't drink it. It may not be worth a million (ok, it's definately not worth a million dollars...) BUT, it's neat as hell.

You can go buy a not so neat bottle of it for about $25 at the liquor store.
I've heard it's pretty dam good chit if you like Canadian Whisky.

Here's a bottle for sale of 1967. It may not get the asking price, but who knows.... :icon_shrug:

I like neat old chit, though. I just bought an unopened can of Coke from the 1992 Olympics in Barcelona. It has the old style pulltab, you know...
I paid 50cents for it at the thrift store. Just thought it was neat.. :D

I guzzled a half bottle of Jack Daniels from like 1979 once. I found it in a cupboard at my mom and dad's house.
Tasted kinda funny, but did the trick.. :D

I wonder how your bottle compares with "newer" stuff.... like the regular 8year stuff.
I mean, it wouldn't go bad.... but I wonder how different it may taste?

I actually don't buy bottles of straight anymore since my liver moved out on me ..:icon_doh: pre mixed cans of black ....ready to go and easy to swallow :) but that bottle looks good !!
