Very nice. She looks to be all original. I like that.

Very nice but I'm a little confused.
In the second picture I see a coffee cup on the lamp post base.
In the first picture, is there a cup sitting on the clutch reservoir?
It looks to be suspended in air. It doesn't look like the same cup.

Thanks Hamlin'. She's gonna' stay that way.

TBT, The solution to the mystery is this. Coffee cup with corporate identity, sitting on the lamp base, is in fact a coffee cup. Coffee cup on the clutch res,. is a 5 gal bucket with corporate identity a few feet in the background.

I was too eager to get pics to post and didn't consider proper composition in my photos

Funny thing. I like the lines of the Mk 1 better. I'm sure this one will grow on me. Never heard one without the CCT rattle.

You'll also notice that the first thing I did after vetting the bike was go on ebay and find the exact same tank bag that was on the old road dog. It's a continuity thing for me. People asked, why that old thing? One, they're great bikes. Two, If you have patience you can find a gem out there. Three, I'm frugal (read poor) and I don't have the scratch for a new bike, Four, It's familiar. I don't have to learn the tech and the quirks of a different make.

Also based on this one's handling and performance, the old road dog with 86,000 plus miles on her, was not in bad shape even though some plastics relied on duct tape to hold them together.

This one will be a daily driver. I have dream commute. I leave my house. Got to one stop sign. take a left and it's 20 miles until I see a traffic light. Take a right and I'm at work. Reverse for the way home.

Shake down run took me to a local biker watering hole in the the town of Bow-Edison. Line of Harley's and a late model R-1. A couple of guys walked up when I was getting ready to leave and asked what year is my bike? They seemed to know more about it than I do.

I'm sure you have been in that same situation. Cycle World magazine dream bike in the late 80's, early 90's and here's one in the flesh.

Maybe i crave the little bit of attention it gets me

Nice bike Woof. I think of all the paint schemes of the later 1000F's, that is my favourite. We didn't get that colour down here.

There have been some absolute bargains to be had here, but I have resisted. To involved with my sidecars. But I have been riding the Suzuki GSX1400 - the lazy Gentleman's ride.

Cheers, SB

I've never seen a GSX 1400, had to Google it. I don't think it ever came to the states. Brawny looking thing

Here's a little gem that from my local Craigslist that i ogle every time I see it and it's still for sale

Edit: Sorry for the upside down composition on this.
