Well yer it is when used in the context of " hey cop your a bloody idiot "
or " what the bloody hell are you doing " ect ect ...lol
Prolly the easiest way to answer you would be to give you an example ...
Om in the police station and the police man asks me my name ...I answer " I am not bloody telling you " well then the cop would automatically ask me to keep the language down !!! ("shut the **** up" lolol)
So in certain circumstances we would be considered to be cursing ....
but usually here in Aus in the street and in private ,it sortta gets by in everyday language with hardly any notice from anyone ...
or " what the bloody hell are you doing " ect ect ...lol

Julia thanks you for your input. She feels it's important that the voters have the opportunity to voice their opinions on the real issues that will shape this great nation "going forward".

Yeah, when I was typing that I could hear her bloody annoying Aussie housewife whine in my mind, just didn't know how to put it into words.
Hey, think yourselves lucky; don't forget that it was just in the last few years that we escaped the intrusive rule of Helengrad. And we had to put up with it for nine years.
Energy saving light bulbs and low flow shower heads my ****.
Still, in the true spirit of ANZAC co-operation I'm kinda thinking that you guys probably deserve a few more years of Julia, just so you get some idea of what Helengrad was like.
Enjoy.

Noun: The freedom to depart from the facts or conventional rules of language when speaking or writing in order to create an effect.
And we have all been effected by it. LOL
