The BMI is a joke, the marines use it and 80% of my platoon is considered overweight.... we workout for over 3 hours 5 - 6 times a week.... we are not overweight. You can get calipered and they will measure your true body and the person who is doing will let you know if you need to shed a few lbs...
Woof, I though you were a peaceable type fella! I would like to think I can outlove most blokes!
I'll leave the rest up to more capable people. Cheers, SB
Luckily for me the chart is all in imperial measurements, we went metric here bloody years ago. So I can only conclude that I'm just a little short for my weight.
Will try harder to get taller.

Here's something else to play with.
In this LINK, method #3 would be for a runner but methods #1 & 2 are not as dismal as that other BMI thing. Runners don't carry much muscle mass so don't worry about method #3 unless you plan on running. I have seen charts where, if I wanted to run competitively, I'd have to get down around 140lbs for my height.
I get ideal weight of 180 using method #1 and 190 using method #2.
I'm 6'1" 190lbs and using the BMI charts that I have seen, they say I'm over weight.
I do need to shed about 10lbs before ski season. When jumping off ledges and hitting the moguls, that extra baggage is not my best friend.
OH, Shadow, I don't think anyone loves me and I think my cat is just using me.
