How to Replace your Grips
When I replaced my old stock grips with some nice new Gel Pro-Grips, I decided to make a little video showing how to use compressed air to remove the old stockers. Apparently, many people either don't think to use compressed air, or don't know how to do it. It's definitely the easiest way to do this job.
Considering that a good set of Gel grips are only like $14, it's well worth the cost and a half hour of work. I was surprised at how much less fatigued my hands got after a long day with the gels over the stock ones. So instead of struggling for an hour and then cutting the old grips off, try this! :) (Oh, and don't mind my rambling.... I'd been drinking a bit.... :D:D) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GahQTTdPv4o |
Nice one, Dylan.

Nice job mate although anytime I take off old ones I just run a utility knife down it and they fall off. Takes a few seconds.

Good idea but not every body has a compressor at home. Another easy way is slide a small flat srew driver in the end and squirt the old multitool (WD40) in therr and they slide straight off. Does the same job and just about every one has a can.

Yeah ....... good vid Dylan........my audio for some reason kept going to "mute" :D ..lol

I just change my stock ones, BUT it seems to be a little larger cause it makes my accelerator to be slower. Now i have to put some washers to the bar end bolts to make it push less the grip. By the way i bought Givi's. Hope you understand me...

Good idea but not every body has a compressor at home. And Bordo, yeah.. I mentioned cutting them off, too. That's what many people do. I like the speed and ease of using air, tho, and some people like to keep the grips that they remove, too. (for whatever reason) Nice one, Dylan. |
Gonna be doing this at the weekend ..... same grips Trout .... Pro Grips 917's
like ya recommended ...... they checked out good enough for me when I saw yours that time. All black ....plain and simple. |
