Default Undertail.. and modified for reliable lights.

The undertail I bought of eBay was of decent quality but as I suspected the LED lights are a complete waste of space. Beware LEDs in many applications as most use super cheap units that aren't bright and difficult to impossible to replace.

My first plan was to find a alternative to the removed LED cluster. I came up with a white aux. marker light which I then bought a dual filament pigtail and retrofitted it to work. Here are the results.

Just a few updates before I decide what plate bracket to get. Cleaned up the brackets and mounting a bit.

I should have been more clear, pardon the pun.

Was too lazy to do a search on the model number, but I updated the picture.

This is a Grote marker light Mfg GRO-45021-5. The marker light is setup for one filament, so you'll need to buy one of the two filament pigtails and remove the original one and pop in the dual bulb unit. I then found a red 1157 bulb. There are a lot of different grade versions of these. Make sure to look for the bulbs that advertise "red glass" and not tinted red. These damn APC bulbs already look like they're starting to fade after 30 seconds of use. I should have know to buy a ricer branded bulb.
