Need help diagnosing a 93 cbr 600 f2

hey guys,
thought I'd ask some more experienced guys than myself about this bike. Bought it as no run for a couple hundred, thought rebuilding the carbs would do it but it still won't run. I'm new to motorcycle carbs and am not sure if I missed something or if there could be hoses disconnected that cause this. The confusing thing is that it sounds like its going to run on its own from time to time with gas put in the hose and cranking the bike over. I'm going to check the spark this morning, but I have a feeling its the carb due to lack of experience on my part. Any ideas on what I can check/fix would be greatly appreciated.

The key to getting these carburetors to work correctly is getting them clean. To do that properly they need to be taken completely apart and separated from each other. Short of removing the butterfly take everything else out and clean it completely. You can boil the carburetor bodies in a pan of soapy water if you don't have access to a carb tank to dunk them in or an ultrasonic cleaner. Take lots of photo's as you take them apart, which will help you in putting them back together. Give it's age, replace all the O rings and gaskets while you're in there.
