Someone asked this earlier, but I didn't see an answer. What did you use for the clear coat? Just regular rattle can stuff?

I used House of Kolor UC35 2-part epoxy clear. it is a UV stabilized paint so it keeps the resin from yellowing.

How many coats of resin and how many of clear coat did you do?

i did two coats of resin, sanded it all smooth and then did 3 medium-wet coats of clear.

sweet! I dont know what temperature it is there, but the lower the temp the slower the resin will set up. It is pretty cold here and it would allow for more working time, then i would take it inside to dry. the nice thing with epoxy resin is that it is low odor.

will you post pictures of your progress?

Yea Im takin pics, I stripped all the paint off today along with picked up some extra tid bits. Ill be posting all the photos in my mod log.

I plan on covering the tank with a rust inhibitor than dying my first resin layer with lamp black as well to get a deep black undercoat. letting that layer come to tack than laying the CF. Doing two coats of resin than three coats of clear does that sound right so far? Did you extend the edges of the cf around the tank.

I Ive got all but the clear coat on. I have to wait till the decals come in so I got all week to sand :P
