They want $110 plus $48 shipping to the US for the 7 color G3 with ballasts.
If I have them drop the ballasts it goes down to $87, but the shipping remains the same.
So even if I go with no ballasts and buy a ballast kit from DDM it's more expensive than if I just pony up and order everything from HID.
She sent me photos of the 1082 ballast in her hand and next to a pen for some size comparisons. I think I might go with those if she tells me they are digital.

She told me that DHL prices were dependent on package size, not just weight. Maybe your box is bigger? No clue, but it seems pretty spendy either way.... I finally pulled the trigger on the G3 color changing model. I'm pretty excited, but I guess we'll have to see what really shows up in the box. Let us know what you get!

its funny after searching through Ebay trying to find something local to buy I opted for a seller from China. Nice guy and all but I guess he is out of the H7 kits and now I'm on back order after paying.

I showed the HID sales person the pic of the ballasts you used. She said they were not theirs (HID) but they were developing ballasts like that that she could sell next month.
Since I don't know what you mean, I'm going to say no. Who do you suggest I get in touch with to get a pair of ballasts?
