Wow, some good stuff to read here. I'm curently looking at hyperpro suspension to see what they can do for the f4i.

I'll probably start with the front springs and shocks, and raise the rear.

Yes, setup your front end correctly. I outbrake most and have never had an issue with the rear raised and the front dropped. No steering dampner either and I didn't have a problem before I put the new fork internals in either.

OR

It has something to do with the tires you guys are running. My front tire has always been a michelin pilot series of some sort.

i raised the rear end some more.
i'm at about 8mm.'s of shimms now. this adds about an inch of rear ride hight. i also installed an elka rear shock. i ran it at the track last night and it works good. she turns in realy easy. as a matter of fact it may have saved me from a crash. i got distracted and went in a sweeper too deep. instead of bailing and doind some offroading i just barred down and pushed harder on the bars to counter steer the bike and get more lean. having the quicker steering made it a little easier to turn in when i realy needed it.
the elka shock felt better , it cured my light front end twitch during accellorasion. i had a stock shock before.
