How to get an engine in with no Jack or lift

Hey folks,

Because I have no friends I’m on my own I need to get the engine back in my F3 and on my own it’s a B***H of a task, I don’t own a scissor lift or a Jack, any ideas?

Thankyou as always!

Do you have a ladder?

Like a folding step ladder? Could definitely get one

Yeah, I've used ratchet-straps from ladder to lift engine instead of entire bike.

You can lift bike's rear-end on stand so it's perfectly vertical. Stuff engine under bike, lay ladder over top and use ratchet-straps to lift just engine. Use 2 straps, one in front and one in rear. Then you've got 4 lines around engine to level and tilt as necessary while lifting.

I cry aloud from across the pond and the Mediterranean, from the ol' place of "Greek Patenta" improvisation homeground,
that IS a great example of good American Spirit: Going along with whatever you have at hand to get the job done!

Over here in the UK in Yorkshire we have the saying "make do and mend" which means the same thing! or "bodge it" :icon_nic:
