Alternative To Rubber Wrap For Exhaust Hanger Bracket

Sorry if the name is confusing... regardless i traded a guy for this new devil and it didnt have the rubber around the hanger bracket... i dont like just metal being in contract with my carbon fiber so i came up with this how to

things needed

1) Electrical Tape
2) Razor blade

Its really simple really just wrap the inside of the bracket with electrical tape....

Then use the razor blade to make it flush and un noticeable

These are pictures with one half done one half not

(side note my exhaust is carbon fiber so im not to worried about the heat effect on the electrical tape but others may have a issue with heat)

Looks good. I've seen bicycle inner tube used for a rig-up job...don't know the outcome from heat exposure though. W/ the CF, it might not get to as high of a temp as bare metal though. Also, Lowe's/HD has some rubber sheeting that could work as a substitute as well.

Look forward to seeing it on your bike!
