Buying a 2000 CBR 600 F4 that has 14k miles.
(and has been well maint. and not beat on)

Can I expect to have to replace the clutch and/or brakes anytime soon?

Any ideas how much that would run me (In NY)

brakes...about now...but check your wear indicators. if you're hard on them then you'll need to change them.
i need to change my brakes about every 12K or so...i'm hard on them...to semi hard on them.

as far as clutch...you're ok at 12K...i'm at 38K and mines still working good mang.
replace when it's slipping. otherwise, just change your oil and such and you're ok. you should probably change your plugs if you haven't though...and suspension fluid, and bleed your fluids...like brakes and coolant.

 

lube the cables
change the brake pads if needed
rotors should be fine

 

Just Keep checking them, for wear at least once a week. It will depend on how hard you use em, but if you get 12k miles from a set of front pads i`d be pleased. My front pads last me 4k miles at the most.

And, it sounds like the cluth is not an issue for a long while..

 

EBC brakes front and rear cost me $83.95 shipped from ebay. They are easy, you could do it yourself.
