Default whats wrong????

ok so i have nebver had a bike before. i get one last year and cant ride it because i didnt take the msf and i want to before i try and ride. then i lose my license so still cant. bike started fine before. so i get a new battery which was dead from it sitting and put it in. light went on, everything was good until i went to start it. flipped it to run and it made this weird puttering click noise and faded off but wont start or anything
doesnt even try
whjen i push the start it just lights up the "oil" light and does nothing
the puttering finally faded away and it doesnt do it anymore but it just has this strong gas smell. i dont know whats wrong
i did have a prob last time i rolled it out of the garage. i let it sit in my yard and when i went to roll it back in it wouldnt budge. i was rocking it back and forth trying to get it to move but it wouldnt budge at all. i was fooling with the gears too and maybe did something although i thought i got it back to neutral and i cant for sure now that its not turning on. I jet it sit a couple hours and it rolled for me and i garaged it and since then it wont budle. its like the wheels are locked

First of all, dont ever let it sit in the yard. second. your battery is dead . third. clutch may be sticking.

Have you got the "Kill" switch turned on. Red switch, right bar.

Sounds like your battery is dead to me also.

Did you have it in gear when you tried to push it?

Sounds kinda strange

if by 'tested' you mean you put a voltage meter on it, then its not tested. A dead battery can still show 12v, but not have any amps to put out. Charge the battery overnight and try again.

You do not need a M/C, sell it to someone and take up something else. Im serious you know nothing about them and you will get hurt.[&:]

You do know that when you buy a motorcycle battery you need to trickle charge it before you use it?
