Has anyone seen a write up on how to install the well mounts for the f4i side fairings. I understand it's like a rivet like thing but the nut just spins when I try to install it.

 

Are you using OEM well nuts? I bought some cheap ones off ebay a while ago and they would loosen up when you removed the bolt causing them to spin. They should stay in the scrunched position after you install them. I went to the local dealer and bit the bullet to get some OEM ones.

As for install, drop the well nut into the hole on the inner fairing, then place the outer fairing over the hole where the well nut is, then screw the bolt in. Hopefully that makes sense.

 

Ya I got the OEM ones. Looking at my old ones I saw that they were scrunched and so I tried installing them in just the side fairing and no luck. I guess I have to install them with both the side and front fairing in order to get them to seat right?
