Help! Can't Install Signal On Modified Fairing
Hello Everyone,
Well I hope that someone may be able to come up with a creative solution for this one so I won't have to go to a body shop and spend large $$$.
My front fairing has been modified due to a previous incident resulting in the holes for the front turn signals being enlarged. I did not put two and two together and when my flush mount LED turn signals arrived today in the mail I realized they are too small to mount. I have attached a photo for your reference.
I have three main options the way I see it:
[ol][*]Take the bike to a body shop and have them fill in the hole, and mount up the signals.[*]Make my own custom "plug" or "cover" that I can paint to go over the hole and attach the LED's to[*]Order larger non-led type turn signal and HOPE they are big enough to cover the hole.[/ol]
I'm thinking that the third option if it works will be the easiest and cheapest but I can't really rely on the dimensions they have listed on the ebay listings for these lights. Below are two links for the types of lights I mean - if anyone has the larger type installed on their bike I would sincerely appreciate it if you could take some exact measurements of how big they are so I can compare to the holes on my fairing.
Signals I bought -> http://cgi.ebay.ca/HONDA-CBR-600-F4i...QQcmdZViewItem
Larger signals -> http://cgi.ebay.ca/Honda-F2-F3-F4-F4...QQcmdZViewItem

I hope I can get this fixed soon - its the only thing stopping me from getting safetied and out on the road.
Thanks,
-Dave

RE: Help! Can't Install Signal On Modified Fairing
Ok so I ordered the following signals:
http://cgi.ebay.ca/Honda-F2-F3-F4-F4...QQcmdZViewItem
At 3.5" long and 2" wide I'm actually worried they are a bit too big considering the contours of the CBR front fairing but it will be a lot easier to figure that out then the issue I have now. I will post the results once I receive.
Thanks
