Valve adjustment on a 06 CBR600RR
 

My CBR's at 21k miles and while getting some minor repairs honda dealer said its about time for a valve adjustment also. I have a few questions about that..

How many miles is a valve adjustment recommended (dealer said 16k)?
He quoted $350 for the adjustment, another shop quoted $300, is it that expensive?

They were talking about full service, with spark plug change, brake fluid flush, etc. I can do that stuff on my own they they charging $500 for full service

yeah that sounds about right for mileage if your at 21k for a valve adjustemnt 16k is about right for a shop to recommend one, 300 sounds about right for shop time and pay rate, my shop only charges me 175 but ive been a valued customer for years and brought them a lot of business so they give me breaks.
