Anyone tow like this? For travel coast to coast for work, and sometimes the bed of my truck is nothing but tool boxes. I'd like to get one of those hitch haulers that puts the front wheel up, and lets the back wheel roll on the road. I would just get a small trailer, but the place where I live doesnt allow any type of trailer, and the yard I have isnt big enough to leave it.

 

a ha... just get a hitch mount platform instead...

those hitch platforms always worry me. I have never looked at one up close, so I dont really know how solid it really is. I just dont know that I would trust that much
weight haging right on the hitch, and not having one side drop or bend slightly.

 

the hitch itself will handle the weight for sure. A 500 lb tongue weight (bike+hitch insert) isnt anything for my truck. The one I'm looking at is rated for 700 lbs and has a lifetime warranty, cant be all that bad.

 

I have seen them in action many times hauling bikes.
