I had a Shinko rear. I'm prejudiced against them. I crashed w/ it on the rear and it felt like it constantly wanted to slide around in the turns. But on the other hand, silly me didn't check the tire pressure before the ride. Now I check and adjust before riding on my D208s. No sliding anymore.

I havent seen anyone using those at a track day so I can only assume.......................not that good for sport riding. How much is it worth to not test out your gear and repair plastic? To me, it's worth the money for good tires. It's kind of like a condom......could you get by with out one? Probably, but the one time you dont.............you'll wish you'd have spent the 2 bucks.

Wouldn't run anything but Dunlop D208's. My opinion, they are the best tire out there, PERIOD!

What if Dunlop came out with a new tire that they say is better, would you switch? What if they even gave it a racy name...say Qualifier or something like that? hmmmmmmmmmm

If you liked your m1's, I would recommend trying the m3's. I have em and love em.

shinko's are okay for very moderate riding - like commuting to and from work if you like hittin' the twisties at a decent pace i'd go with something else.
