Tire sizes and fitment question
 

The rear tire I have on now are 180/55 ZR17 and the front one is 120/60 ZR17. Im looking to buy new ones in a set but most that comes in a set, either one or the other tire has a different number. I know what the letter and numbers stand for so my question now is would a 120/70 ZR17 fit my front one and would a 190/50 ZR17 fit my rear? I can't really find a set that are identical to mines and I don't want to buy 2 separate tires. I would rather just buy a set so they match. Would it be ok if either the 1st or the 2nd number are different from the ones I have on now?And if so, what different tire sizes can I put on the rims I have now?
Stock 2001 Honda CBR600 F4i

180/55 & 120/70 are the stock sizes. Both 17" obviously.
That's what I would get. Pretty standard sizes that should be easy to get and are made for your bike.

you should stick with the stock sizes as the bike was designed with those tires changeing the sizes will change the way the bike handles and could be in a negative way especially putting a 190 rear tire on a rim designed for the 180, like kilgortrout said those are common standard tire sizes should be able to get em at any tire retailer. so your front tire that you got now is the wrong size being a 120/60 will prob feel a little different when you get the recommended tire on there. Every tire website i checked has the tire sizes you need. front: 120/70-ZR17 Rear: 180/55-ZR17 and any shop will carry these or be able to order set if they are out of the brand you want, if you were going to order online checkout www.motorcycle-superstore.com they usually have pretty good deals.

+1 to stick w/ OEM sizes - 180/55 & 120/70. You'll get the best handling from the OEM sizes.
