Default Tire Cupping (issue?)

Both my front and rear tire are cupping lightly at this point but it is there no question. Is this an issue and if so why? I have a matching pair of continental contimotion tires on there now. Now while I am not real impressed with them but have nothing to complain about either. Ill upload some pictures as soon as im home.

Check out Dave Moss "On the Throttle" videos online. He explains all kinds of stuff. There is definitely one on "reading tires". Its usually not the tires, its usually improper air pressure and/or suspension needs adjusted.

Im curious just how bad it can get before it has an issue? And this could be a good thread for ppl to show off there tires and evaluate what we think happened and how it can be corrected so it dosen't happen on the next tire.

You should make a habit of checking your pressures before every ride or at the very least pressing your knee into the tire to see if you've lost any pressure. Do that at manufacturer's specs and they won't cup, at least to the point where it will be an issue.

To be perfectly honest I set them at sidewall pressure over a year ago and haven't checked them since. What is spec pressure on an f2? Anyone know off the top of there head.

42 should be on the sidewall, that was the problem. 40 is fine though especially if you're just starting out.
